Colorado Here We Come!

Bruce, BossMan and I are heading out to Colorado tomorrow to visit family! We are also bringing along Bruce's Grandma and Grandpa (my Mom and Step-dad) with us!

I'm pretty sure that Bruce knows something is up because the big trailer is sitting in front of our house and it's hard to miss. The trailer is our home away from home and Bruce was finally able to check it out this weekend when BossMan brought it home for cleaning and inspection. Bruce performed his own inspection. Couches are comfy. Beds are comfy. Air conditioning is heaven on earth. All is good. Bruce gives the trailer 2 paws up and ready for action.

Preparation: I started out by making a packing list for Bruce and BossMan and myself. I'm not really sure how the heck Bruce's packing list is longer than ours but it is indeed. This is another example of being completely obsessed with our fur baby. We are totally sick in the head but admission is the first step, right? After dog training last night we stayed up late last night getting the whole family packed and ready! We leave bright (actually dark) and early tomorrow morning!

Charlie Girl

Well it's been a year and a half since my last post. Yep, I suck! Well we've started fostering again. Our most recent foster, Charlie blessed us with her amazing, silly, smart, loving presence back in the beginning of May. She was with us for about a month and a half and was scooped up by a great family that will take her on lots of hikes and lots of learning. I couldn't be more proud of her and all she has learned in the month and a half that she was in our home. She learned good manners and learned how to play with her foster brothers. She learned how nice snuggles are and mastered that snuggling ability to a professional level. Very proud. She kind of is perfect and got boss man and I on back on the right foot to start back up with our fostering adventure. As usual it was hard to let her go but so happy to see her find her forever home! Helping boss man in the garage. She and boss man definitely bonded a great deal.

A Year Ago

A year ago today Bruce was picked up and taken to San Jose Animal Care Center. A year ago today BossMan and I were planning our wedding, buying a house and getting ready to start this new journey together. We had no idea that Bruce would be a part of it all. I can't imagine what was going through Bruce's head that day a year ago but I'm sure glad everything ended up the way it did. We sure love our boy.

Louie

Introducing our new foster, Louie! Louie is a Papillon (yes a small dog). I've never had a small dog in my midst. I have to admit it was shocking to be carrying around a dog or having a dog in the house that can actually REALLY fit on my lap. By all means we accept the fact the Bruce thinks he is a lap dog but we know he isn't. We just let him think it. He isn't up for adoption yet as he is recovering from hip surgery right now. He is an absolute sweet heart who loves to snuggle, hates his crate and his e-collar, and enjoys laying in the sun. I'm really enjoying my time with him and it's kind of nice to know he's not leaving at any random moment. Bruce and Louie get along marvelously and Louie really likes snuggling with his bigger foster bro. Here are some recent pictures of our tired little boy after he decided to shred apart his e-collar (he REALLY REALLY REALLY didn't like that stupid cone!)
